Gaps of the look

2016 / 2017 – The performance was created within the New Frontiers of the Look Project awarded in 2015 by the 19th Edition of the “Fomento a Dança” Grant for development of dance for the city of São Paulo.

The performance of Gaps of the look, investigates the possible relations between the body space and the urban space, researching the singularities of the body structure of each interpreter, and their possibilities of moving and interacting with the space. The public space acts not only as an outdoor stage, but also as a territory of approximations, where the company´s actions can have an effect beyond the universe of dance, in direct contact between art and actual life. The performance was created to be adaptable to the most diverse spaces of the city, such as streets, squares, transit stations, courts, bridges, etc. Gaps of the look is an itinerant performance with the intention of covering spaces, as happened in its debut at the CCSP. In that presentation, thirty blind people could see the performance that passed through several communal areas of the CCSP via the audio description provided by Lívia Motta and the See with Words Company.
