Traços e Traçados Urbanos – Urban layout and outlines

Traços e Traçados Urbanos – Urban layout and outlines is a performance for open spaces, public spaces, squares, streets, theatres foyers and cultural centres. The performance investigates the relations between the space in the body and the urban spaces and the relations between them. This piece aims to stimulate poetic ways to look at the urban spaces with its habitants, their diversities and relationships.

The choreographies are developed from the physicality of the performers, welcoming the singularities of different structures of the body, understanding each individual with their differences.  All of the company’s work is based on the principle that there is no right or wrong body, but a unique body that allows us to establish relationships with each other and with the environment that surrounds us.

Through the diversity of the cast of dancers and musicians, Traços e Traçados Urbanos – Urban layout and outlines, shows a journey of immobility, partial mobility to mobility, through equal roles and relationships with the urban space. Everyone is gradually invited to enter the movements and choreographies, each with its own characteristics and individualities, but all interacting and creating outlines in the space and dancing together.

The dancers during the performance involve the audience, who are invited to take part in action and dance, playing and creating a colourful and diverse landscape.
